Youth Leaders

The real leaders of a scout troop are its youth leaders. Selected as the most experienced and skilled members of their patrols or the troop overall, they get special training through Junior Leader Training (JLT) events and the Venture 8 program. Along with their scout skills, our patrol leaders are trained in Wilderness First Aid and as swim, ski, and other instructors of outdoor skills. They meet together as a Patrol Leader's Council, which decides on the events for the year, and serve as Trip Leaders for each individual event, planning all aspects of the outing. Our youth leaders are the best "big brothers" you can imagine!

Tim is one of our most talented young outdoorsman.   A master of skiing everything from glades to moguls, he's the stalwart leader of many a Death March in Patrol D.   One of the best additions to the Patrol Leader's Council in recent years, we look forward to fantastic things with Tim in the years ahead.

Currently the only rower in Ann Arbor that wants the Argo Dam to be removed, only if they create an artifical whitewater course, this Ann Arbor Public School student is the best, brightest, and most humble in all of troop 8. While he can't understand words of more than 3 sylables, and even that's pushing it, and replaces is M's with his R...
